Help Now of Osceola, Inc. has been a partner agency with Second Harvest Food Bank for over 20 years.
The mission of Help Now of Osceola, Inc. is to provide life-saving services for survivors of intimate partner violence by providing safe shelter and other critical services. They empower survivors of domestic abuse through counseling and advocacy. The agency also acts as a social change organization, working to build a culture within our community whereby domestic abuse is not tolerated. Ever. Every home should be a safe home. Their vision is to eradicate violence and abuse in our community.
During the past fiscal year, Help Now of Osceola, Inc. provided safe shelter for an average of 63 adult and children participants each month. Their Outreach and Courthouse advocates saw an average of 295 participants each month, and responded to an average of 292 hotline crisis calls each month.
They are a recipient of our Second Helpings Program. As part of this program, they receive foods that have been prepped by local restaurants but not yet served. The clients use this food to prepare meals for their families while at the shelter.
