Culinary Training Students Kick Off the Summer at Nourish Coffee Bar + Kitchen

Last Friday, Second Harvest Food Bank’s Culinary Training Program students had the opportunity to hone their presentation and serving skills at the Center for Health & Wellbeing’s “Kickoff to Summer Celebration” located in Nourish Coffee Bar + Kitchen.

For the past few weeks, this summer’s class of students has been learning the ins and outs of the kitchen. At the Kickoff to Summer Celebration, they got the chance to practice their presentation skills. The students introduced people to samples of A Spoon Full of Hope honey and cookies, served up Nourish’s award-winning black bean burgers, and even got to tour the Crosby Wellness Center.

Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida is so grateful to Nourish Coffee Bar + Kitchen for making our students feel welcomed. Starting this summer, they will start providing hands-on work experience for some of our students. We continue to be incredibly proud of them and how far they’ve come in such a short time. Keep up the good work, guys!

Join us on the third Friday of each month at Nourish Coffee Bar + Kitchen to sample or buy A Spoon Full of Hope honey, cookies or soupduring their summer celebrations.
