An Impact Beyond Generations

grandparentsMr. and Mrs. Larry Hardy of Sanford, Fl. have 8 of their grandchildren in their direct custody and currently 5 of them attend the Midway Safe Harbor Center after-school program (7 of them are shown in the photo with Mr. Hardy as he is picking them up from the center).  Mr. Hardy stated that the basis of support for his kids starts with a firm religious foundation of which he ensures that they gain necessary exposure.   He also said that education is the key to their future and he appreciates how much the center provides in that area.

He went on to say that the food provided from the Second Harvest Food Bank to the center is a tremendous help to the daily nutritional needs of his kids because they are served a hot healthy five component meal on a daily basis throughout the school year. Additionally, he appreciates the periodic opportunity to get the free fresh produce that is given to the center for distribution to the children.  He further stated that the cost savings in his kids being fed during the year at the center is a great help to the family budget that he and his wife manage.

He expresses many thanks to those who extend the services and support of these organizations.
