2017 Conference -New Info !!!

Conference is Over, Now What?

March 9th was a day filled with networking, fun and most importantly learning!! Our intention was for this conference to be a starting point for a year full of continued learning, sharing of resources, and networking opportunities. Below you will find the power points from the sessions shared at the conference, along with other valuable resources that we hope can be useful to you year round.

One part of conference that was very important to us, was the survey. Understanding the outcomes of the agency survey helps us to understand how we can best serve you, what things worked, and what didn’t. Below you will find a link to the survey results.

Thank you all for your participation!

What is the Partner Agency Conference?

The goal of this conference is to Engage, Empower and Energize our partner agencies by giving them resources, support, education  and a networking experience. Last year 100 agencies met together at our Orlando location to connect with the food bank and with each other. We have expanded this event for 2017 and will be inviting all of our partner agencies to participate. Our location for this year’s event is Calvary Orlando in Winter Park, Florida.

This event will include presentations from Robin Safely, Executive Director of Feeding Florida who oversees the fight against hunger in Florida with a statewide network of 14 member food banks, and Dr. Thomas Byer, who is an associate professor in the School of Public Administration at UCF who will share his research and expertise on the importance of networking and collaborating to meet goals.

We will offer workshops on Volunteer Management, Healthy Eating, Childhood Hunger, Networking and Pantry Best Practices and will provide an opportunity to network with over 200 other Second Harvest Agencies.

We will also be recognizing our agencies for going above and beyond and will be presenting some special awards to agencies in all 6 counties.

Lunch will be provided and an exciting and empowering event is being planned for all.

The capacity for this event is 250 so please RSVP as soon as registration opens on November 14th.

Please join us at this special event where we can thank you and encourage you to continue in our joint missions of fighting hunger and feeding hope!
